Along with millions around the world, people here at Slice are doing our best to adjust in a world of Covid-19. Our team has been working diligently (but safely!) to fill orders. In some instances, there is a new way of doing things.

Specifically, here in Ohio, we’ve been operating within state guidelines for essential businesses. Most of our sales force has been able to work remotely, answering phone calls and emails with much the same speed you’re used to. Our website is a 24/7 resource to find a price or place an order. But there is no way to get you metal without relying on the dedicated team in our warehouse and fulfillment.

Fortunately, our facility is large enough to allow for all the social distance needed to keep working safely. For the warehouse crew, shearing and packing orders hasn’t changed. Quality control in material and documentation is still key. The shipping team has been coordinating pick-ups and deliveries; and we’re still seeing all the major freight carriers daily. Truckloads of packages are going out multiple times a day with UPS, FedEx, and DHL.

So many of our customers are essential to keeping transportation, manufacturing and medical services going that we know you’re all working hard and doing your best as well.

Our hearts go out to all the individuals and family members affected by this new coronavirus. So many people are struggling with loss of business, loss of income, and worst of all the loss of loved ones.

We’re all in this together, no matter how far apart we feel. We feel fortunate and humbled to be able to contribute in our small way here at Slice of Stainless.
